OUR General Public TRAINING
At Académie Saint-Bernard, we firmly believe that everyone should be prepared to react in the event of an emergency. That's why we have developed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid training for the general public. Our programs are designed to be accessible and relevant, enabling everyone, regardless of their level of initial training, to acquire the skills needed to intervene effectively in emergency situations.
The importance of training for the general public
Emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. Whether at home, at work, or in public places, being able to provide first aid can mean the difference between life and death. Our training courses for the general public aim to :
- Increase community safety: By training more people in CPR and first aid techniques, we increase the number of potential first responders in the community.
- Reduce response times: The first few minutes following a medical incident are crucial. Rapid intervention by trained bystanders can dramatically improve the chances of survival and recovery.
- Strengthen public confidence: Having the skills to respond in an emergency can reduce panic and enable more effective management of stressful situations.
General First Aid - Foster care & Adoption (16h)
Welcome to the "General First Aid - Foster care & Adoption (16h)" training course. This 16-hour training course is specially designed for foster families and adoptive parents, to prepare you to deal with a variety of emergency situations that may arise in a family setting. You'll learn the essential skills to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care, acquiring practical knowledge in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and emergency management specific to your environment. Our aim is to give you the tools you need to respond confidently and effectively, protecting lives and enhancing the safety of your home.

In sports, the safety of every player is a fundamental priority. With these concerns in mind, the Saint-Bernard Academy has designed this first aid training course for the sports environment. Designed for coaches of all levels, this in-depth training course is intended to give sports professionals the skills they need to deal with the most frequent emergencies on the field.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to apply the correct intervention protocols in the presence of a child with medical, traumatic, psychosocial or allergic distress. You will also be able to identify and apply the proper techniques to avoid the risk of contamination. You will be aware of the various precautions to take on a daily basis.
